Made it to Kentucky

Sorry for the long wait for a blog post. We made it to Kentucky.

So what we did to move from Florida to Kentucky in such a short notice. One I am grateful that my Mom had room for us all to move in with her. So we all packed up our personal belongings.

We ended up getting a trailer hitch installed on the Kia soul and rented a 5 x 8 trailer to take our personal belongings and to have room for everyone in the car.

Our car was full with my wife, son, daughter, dog and two cats. So there was absolutely no room for anything else in the car. I got to admit I was nervous pulling a small trailer with a compact vehicle. But the little kia that could killed the road trip.

There was one area where the Kia felt like it was struggling a little, but it was a road going up a steep mountain. After we passed that we were all good.

Now the cats, I was worried about them meowing the whole 12 hour drive. But they did really really well during the drive. One did meow a little but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

The dog did really good but we gave her a children’s Benadryl. I definitely recommend anyone traveling with a dog to use that. It keeps them calm and the whole trip was smooth as butter.

The kids napped pretty much half the trip. I don’t blame them lol especially since we left Florida around 3am. Also it did make the trip a little less stressful.

My wife she also slept half the trip but like I said we left at 3am.

I’m not going to lie them all being a sleep at 3ish in the morning I was getting sleepy. But I ended up stopping and getting a energy drink and once the sun came up I was as good as new πŸ˜‚

Now that we made it to Kentucky, the animals seem very happy. Also the kids really seem to be a lot happier. We enrolled the kids in school and took the kids to go see their school and they absolutely love them.

My daughter was so happy to see all the things they had there for her to be able to do. Also this middle school still has the national beta club. So she can continue doing that. There is also a few sports she would love playing that they offer. But I’ll post more about them as it happens. All she needs is a physical so we will get that done before school starts.

My son also wants to do some sports. So I will end up getting him a physical to see if he can be able to play this year.

Other than the move my next thing on my agenda is to start a business and get serious on side hustles. If anyone has any advice or ideas please share them with me.

All I know is things are starting to get better and once I can get a steady flow of income coming in all will be great. I love my family and love that we had a safe and beautiful drive here.

I forgot how much I love hills and mountains. I’m so glad we moved. Anyways thank you for whoever is reading this and I hope you have a great day and week ❀️
