I moved to Kentucky from Florida due to the cost of living. So my wife, kids and I are staying at my mom’s.
In Florida I was a Bridge Inspector. I’ve tried looking for a job in that path out here with no luck. I’ve wanted to find something that was different from that anyway.
What I really want to do is find something that pays well and I’m still able to spend time with my family.
But everything in Kentucky so far doesn’t pay that good and requires you to work 10 to 12 hour shifts for 6 to 7 days a week.
I mean I found a job at AppHarvest that pays 13.89 that is Monday through Friday. But that pay is way to low in my opinion and I know I will eventually get tired of working there. So I plan on working there long enough to save some money.
What I really want to do is find something that is in my interest and I’m happy to do everyday. Something where I have the time to spend with my family but still pays a liveable wage or beyond.
I’ve been thinking of things you can do online to make money. But I feel lost on that sometimes. So I think about being a realtor but don’t know where to begin on that and if it’s worth it.
Maybe I should go to school for IT or something with AI. But again how am I supposed to support my family while doing that.
Right now I just feel lost and hope I figure something out soon. Anyways sorry for the rant.
